We are the all purpose glue in the fabric of society

Beauty in the Break

SHATTERED!

I remember it like it was yesterday. The melodious sound of ‘let the flowers bloom again’ could be heard throughout the community. My two sisters and I were playing in the living room when suddenly things took a turn.

With all of our running, a ceramic swan our mother had crafted and put on display, got knocked over.

I held the ceramic swan, a beauty once whole, now broken. My heart sank as the swan’s beautiful body was now in pieces in the hands of my sisters & I.

A wave of shame, guilt, and regret washed over me.

We tried to put the swan back together with some all purpose glue, but of course my mother found us out.

Just as the swan could be rebonded – uneven, visible seams and all; the journey from crack to communion shapes us.

Our flaws aren’t erased; they are woven into our story of healing.
In solitude, God meets us in our broken corridors. It’s there the mending begins.

He doesn’t punish us when we bring Him our broken pieces. He doesn’t smooth over our fractures. Instead, He uses them.

Like the kintsugi-inspired swan, our restored soul becomes a vessel of grace; beauty reborn through visible, even messy, repair.

So, are you ready to let God reclaim your cracks?

Will you sit in stillness and invite His gentle repair today?

I challenge you to reach out to, call, or meet that one person this week. To bridge the gap in that relationship that needs the healing balm of divine grace, with honesty and humility.

I told you my story of the broken swan, what story can your brokenness tell once you Let God restore you?

Bloom in solitude🌸
