Blossom & Bloom

Determined Blooms PUSH!

I’m no horticulturist, but I can wet plants.

And apparently, sometimes, that’s enough🙃

One of the plants I inherited is this potted plant you see in the display.

At first glance, it looked like a prop from the Final Destination movie: brown, brittle, and about to die.

My mother called it a ‘Nazareth Plant.’

Because looking at it, you think really, can anything good come from it?

So, I did what any ‘non-horticulturist’ would do…

I left it there.

Unbothered.

Unwatered.

Unloved.

Until one random day my sister asked me about it, so I poured water on it.

Two days later, I saw something.

Somewhere underneath all of that decay, lay potential in the form of seeds and roots.

A green shoot pushed through like a toddler playing peek-a-boo.

Life.

Potential.

Possibility.

It wasn’t dead. It was just dormant.

Waiting on the right condition. The right moment. Something to give it what it needed to push…

As days passed, more shoots burst forth. By Day 5, it bloomed as if it had never tasted drought.

So it hit me…

How many of us are walking around like Nazareth plants?

Looking lifeless.

Drenched in disappointment.

Layered in old leaves of rejection, burnout, broken dreams.

Yet, underneath all that,

Seeds are still waiting.

Roots gripping for life.

Potential still alive.

You’re not dead. You’re dormant!

And sometimes, in need of a little watering…

…the kind of refreshing that flows when someone speaks life into you.

In the midst of all the negativity and harsh conditions of life, all you need is the right motivation to push past and blossom.

When hope whispers, “You’ve still got it.” Or someone says, “I believe in you,” and you actually believe in them; those words resonate with you.

SO … Water your dormant thing.

That idea. That song. That business plan. That ministry.

What is it you thought was buried but it was actually just planted.

DETERMINED BLOOMS PUSH!

Even through neglect.

Even after delay.

Nazareth plants blossom.

Have you stopped watering something you once believed in?

Let’s talk about it. Share in the comments 👇🏽

The Day I Met an Angel

May 19, 2025

We stepped into Glorious Bodies Glorious Minds (GBGM)… and that’s when it happened. I met an angel 😇 …okay, not a literal angel — but it was definitely a heavenly moment. We were greeted by a warm, welcoming smile, and my friend was gently escorted to the room where she’d receive her massage. Then came the unexpected question.

Light supposed to shine

April 28, 2025

What if the darkness you’re facing isn’t your archnemesis... but an invitation? Many of us have this primal fear of the dark, the unknown and tend to shrink back in the quiet. But from the very beginning, darkness was never meant to intimidate those fashioned in the image of God. It was the canvas where the Creator first declared, “Let there be light.”
